Listening to WJCT Live Streams

  • How do I listen to what's on your station right now?

    On a PC

Typically, Windows users should click on the Windows Media Player link on the WJCT OnDemand home page (or at the bottom of any page). This will launch Windows Media Player on your computer (or in a new tab/window of your browser) automatically, and after a moment, the stream will begin.

    On a Mac

For Mac users, click on the iTunes link at the top of the WJCT OnDemand home page (or at the bottom of any page). This will trigger a download in which the file will automatically be downloaded, or you may have to choose to save the file in a location. Once you've saved the file (it should be "listenQT" or "listenQT.pls"), open it with iTunes, and streaming should begin momentarily.

*Note: If using the Safari browser, the file downloaded when clicking the iTunes link may be saved with an incorrect title, and as a result will not work when opening with iTunes. To fix, you must rename the file from listenQT.pls.mp3 to listenQT.pls. Then open with iTunes.

Mobile Listening/Viewing

  • How do I listen/watch your content on my mobile device?

    Radio

Mobile devices should be able to stream all of our audio content, with the exception of the Live Streams, which may not work on all devices. Our Live Streams as well as some of our podcasts are available on the NPR News app, available for Android, iPhone, iPad, and numerous other devices. Also, any web-enabled device can access NPR—and, by extension, WJCT—content by simply pointing your mobile browser to www.npr.org

    Video

Much of our video content will be available in the near future on the PBS iPhone & iPad apps. PBS already has a large amount of national content available through these apps.
